In the 1900s up to around 1940 houses were built North of Gore between 2nd street and Fort Sill Blvd. Originally called North Addition this neighborhood is now known as Old Town North. Anywhere from tiny cottages to grand homes of the Lawton’s leading citizens, these homes have always ranged in value. Within the last year houses in this neighborhood have sold from $17,500 to $231,000, depending on condition. An Old Town North home is usually built in craftsman style, often on a crawlspace with a fireplace in the main living area.
